An Icelandic gathering in February 1967 and several meetings on an ad hoc basis followed. The Icelandic Club of Western Manitoba was formally organized in January 1974. Our first Thorrablot was held in 1979.
In May 1981 we became a chapter of the Icelandic National League and, approved a constitution. In 1982 we adopted the Club name "FALKINN".
Our meetings are held on the first Sunday of the month from September to June. We provide up to three scholarships yearly. Available to students that have a family connection to our club.
